As with the rest of the world, we are all concerned about the current health situation and we are watching developments on a daily basis. With GSC 2020 in Rio de Janeiro still three months away, at the present time we do not foresee a significant impact on the meeting in Rio, and we are currently planning on having the meeting as scheduled from May 20–23 in Rio de Janeiro.
The wellbeing of our spine community is our priority and we are monitoring the situation closely via the World Health Organization (WHO) and are in close communication with the relevant authorities in Brazil. In addition, our contingency plans are well developed and focused on prioritizing the health and safety of our participants, exhibitors and staff.
We will continue to communicate these plans as the situation evolves and will ensure that all measures are appropriate to the situation in May and follow the advice of the authorities.
For the time being, we are proceeding and we look forward to welcoming you to Rio de Janeiro. See you soon!
